As June 2025 unfolds, the Government of Canada is disbursing several major benefits through CRA and Service Canada. Whether you’re managing rising rent, child care, or retirement expenses, these payments can offer real financial relief. But to receive them on time, ensure your 2023 tax return is filed and your account information is updated.
Ontario Trillium Benefit
The Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) combines three credits: the Energy and Property Tax Credit, the Northern Ontario Energy Credit, and the Ontario Sales Tax Credit. These are meant to reduce living costs for low and middle-income residents of Ontario. For June, the estimated payment includes up to $104 for adults aged 18–64, $118.41 for those 65+, $15–$23 for NOEC, and $30 per family member under OSTC. A four-member family could receive around $351.08.
Canada Child Benefit
The Canada Child Benefit (CCB) provides tax-free monthly support to parents or guardians raising children under 18. If your income is below $36,502, you could receive up to $648.91 per child under age 6, or $547.50 per child aged 6–17. The benefit may decrease as your income increases. The next payment will be deposited on June 20, 2025.
Canada Pension Plan
CPP is a monthly retirement benefit paid to eligible Canadians who contributed during their working years. In June 2025, the average CPP payment will be around $900, while the maximum could be $1,433, depending on your contribution history and age at retirement. The upcoming CPP payment is scheduled for June 26, 2025.
Old Age Security
Old Age Security (OAS) supports seniors aged 65 and above. For those aged 65–74, the maximum is $727.67, while seniors aged 75+ can get up to $800.44. Low-income recipients may also qualify for the GIS, which adds up to $1,086.88. Spousal and survivor allowances may push the total higher. The next OAS and GIS payments will be made on June 26, 2025.
Veteran Disability Pension
This benefit supports veterans suffering from service-related disabilities. Eligible recipients can receive up to $3,444.59 per month, depending on the severity of the disability and family status. This pension is provided by Veterans Affairs Canada. The next VDP deposit will arrive on June 27, 2025.
